Master Before / After

May I introduce you to our new Master Bedroom.

The before was pretty nasty. The previous owner (as I've complained about forever) was a heavy smoker. And apparently the Master was her favorite place to do it. Getting the nicotine off the walls was tough. Getting the nicotine off the ceiling was next to impossible.

The is a semi-during shot with the paint going up. We also re-stained the hard wood floors to match with the hardwoods we put in the living/dining room since the Master is right off of that, and we also got a ceiling light/fan. She only had a super old light and we both like a fan going at night so that was a must.

And this is the final product...

I need to also find some cute throw pillows.

The wall with the dresser below is the only wall that needs something. I'm thinking of maybe doing candle sconces on either side of the dresser. Or maybe some small photo montages. I'm not sure yet.

This little dresser is in need of a lamp. I did find the perfect one at Home Goods the other day but I wasn't ready to put the money down on it. If I go back next week and it's still there I will certainly grab it!

I was really pleased with these rugs I found at Wal-Mart. This one is on the side of the bed and the other is a runner at the end of the bed.

The decorations on the top of this dresser are probably my favorite in the entire house!

The framed picture above the dresser (sorry about the glare) is actually the "Just Married" sign we had on the back of our Love Bug on our wedding day. A good friend made the sign for us then had it framed after the wedding.
Inside the glass ornaments are the dried flowers to my bouquet, my maid of honor's bouquet, and our church flowers.
I was really torn on what to do with the dried flowers. They were quite honestly getting in the way and getting ruined as well so I was really happy to put them to use. During Christmas we will hang the ornaments on our Christmas tree to enjoy.

And that is our humble little Master Bedroom!
